Types and finishes:
The bed is the centrepiece of our bedroom and as we spend one third of our lives sleeping, a supportive and comfortable bed is pivotal.
We have a wide selection of beds available from divan (lift up base beds) to frame beds, over-beds, TV beds, sleigh beds, sofa beds, floating base beds, children’s themed beds and can even source round beds and water beds.
Our divan beds are available in a range of combinations and many provide the perfect storage solution too. Drawer divans, slide store divans and ottoman divans allow you to store excess belongings within the bed to maintain a tidy and spacious room. Drawer divans can be sourced with 2 drawers, 4 drawers, end drawers and continental drawers.
The visitor divan can store an extra mattress underneath and is perfect for when you have guests. Electric divan beds are power controlled meaning you can control the positioning of your bed at the touch of a button. These are ideal for those who suffer with back or mobility issues or those who simply want to be in more control of the position they sleep or watch TV in. For those who do suffer with aches and pains, orthopaedic beds and mattresses can also be sourced.
We also stock beds with a sprung divan base that have a top layer of springs which act as a shock absorber, offering cushioned support and a softer sleep. Divan beds are available in a variety of finishes such as leather, faux leather, chenille, velvet, crushed velvet and many other fabrics.
Over-beds are an ideal storage solution allowing you to make the most of the available space within your room whilst providing an enviable fitted look. It is a functional and stylish bed type and is available in a range of heights and widths as well as different colours and finishes. You can also customise the attached side cabinets and overhead wardrobe space of certain models to create a truly individual space that meets your storage needs.
We have an extensive selection of frame beds in many shapes and designs, these include the popular sleigh bed with its distinctive luxury frame shape and a TV bed (Television Bed) which cleverly houses your TV inside the bed frame, allowing you to store the TV when not in use. We also stock floating bed frames with attached bedside cabinets which are both stylish and practical. Frame beds are on legs and can have a high foot end or low foot end. Frame bed finishes include metal, wooden, solid oak, leather, faux leather, velvet, crushed velvet and chenille.
Popular wooden beds are oak, beech, pine and wooden painted beds. Velvet beds and crushed velvet beds are becoming two of the most popular fabric frame beds and leather frame beds and metal frame beds continue to be in demand.
We also have a selection of themed beds available for children such as bunk beds and cabin beds which have features such as a built-in desk or slide option. These are available in a range of colours and finishes.
Sofa beds are dual performing as they act as a sofa and bed, perfect for those who regularly have guests. Sofa beds have sleek designs and so serve your living room like a traditional sofa, saving you space without compromising your home décor. As with traditional sofas, sofa beds are also available in leather, faux leather or fabric compositions.
Sizes:
Beds are available in a range of sizes from a 2’6 to 3-foot single bed, a 4-foot small double queen size bed, 4’6 standard double bed, 5-foot king size bed and a 6-foot super king size bed. Certain beds can also be made to measure so you will always find a suitable model to fit any room.
Headboards:
We have a wide variety of headboard options to fit any sized bed from a single, small double queen size, standard double, king size or super king size bed. Our headboards are available in multiple colours, shapes, designs and compositions from leather, faux leather, velvet, crushed velvet, chenille, wooden, solid oak and metal. All Wooden headboards and metal headboards also have a variety of finishes within the wood and metal. We also have a selection of floor standing headboard options as well as traditional headboards.
Mattresses:
A quality mattress is essential in securing a good night’s sleep and our staff will be on hand to recommend the perfect choice for you. From spring mattresses to memory foam mattresses, gel mattresses and latex mattresses, we have a variety of options to ensure you can make the perfect selection based on your personal preference or requirements.
Mattress Types:
We have mattresses with a variety of spring systems from spring flexi to Bonnell and pocket sprung mattresses.
Spring flexi mattresses use a coil spring and a firmer high-density reflex foam which provides comfort and support. A mattress using a Bonnell spring system provides a firmer feel again due to the fewer and larger springs used.
Pocket sprung mattresses consist of lots of smaller springs, each in its own pocket. Each small spring reacts to the pressure applied to the mattress to ensure that a perfect degree of support is gained across the length of your body. Pocket spring mattresses are available in a variety of types from 1000 pocket springs to 1500 pocket springs, 2000 pocket springs and 3000 pocket springs. The higher the spring count, the smaller the spring and the firmer the mattress tends to be due to it being more supportive by nature. The benefit of having a smaller spring is that the spring system is able to move more frequently and accurately to the contours of your spine and this provides superior support.
Memory foam mattresses are a popular choice and are often recommended to those who suffer with back pain. Memory foam has an elastic ability to conform to our individual body curves to offer full support, comfort and relieve pressure points.
A Latex foam mattress is another alternative mattress type and is known for its durability. Latex is a premium quality material and comes from the sap of the rubber tree. It has anti-microbial properties making it of benefit to allergy sufferers. Latex also has a natural elasticity and recovers its shape immediately when pressure is removed giving it a firmer feel.
Mattress Sizes:
Mattresses are available to suit any size bed from single, small double queen size, standard double, king size and super king size bed and in some cases mattresses can be made to measure.
As an added feature, some mattresses can also be waterproofed for further protection.
Ottoman Storage Boxes:
We also stock ottoman storage boxes and bed boxes which are an ideal way to keep your bedroom clutter-free and looking stylish! Bed boxes can be made in a variety of sizes, colours and materials including popular velvet ottoman bed boxes.
